Hi, I'm Skylar. I wanted to check my resting heart rate just now, so I went to the app store and searched for heart rate. This is the first thing that came up, and with 521 reviews, four and a half stars for free, seemed like a good bet. So I just downloaded it, and I'll tap open. I don't want to allow it to send you push notifications. Okay, so we'll tap get started, and you'll notice that the light on the back turned on. So, what you do is you put your finger over the back, and it says detecting pulse. If you've ever shined a flashlight up into your mouth and seen your nose glow, or shined it through your finger for example, you know that you can actually see veins. Well, the same thing is happening here. The light on the back of my phone is shining through, allowing the camera to see the pulse. You have to hold your finger on the right position, otherwise this really doesn't work. There we go, once it's detected your pulse, you see it switches to measuring, and it tells you how long it's gonna be doing it, seems like the more I talk the higher my pulse goes, alright. So, turns out I have a resting heart rate of 55 beats per minute. Tap done. There we are. Gave me results right away. Thanks for watching, I'm Skylar.
