Hi, I'm Bridgett Artise, and I'm author, designer and owner of Born Again Vintage, and today we're at Born Again Vintage the Collective in Montclair, New Jersey, and I'm going to show you how to cut perfect slits on the side of your T-shirts. First you take a T-shirt and you make the T-shirt is a little bit bigger than what you would normally wear. And you will cut straight up the seam on the side of the T-shirt. And once you do that, you cut to the armhole. After you do that, you cut fringes on both sides of the T-shirt, all the way up, and then after you cut the slits, it has to be the perfect number on both sides. And after you do that, you tie them together. And once you tie them together, you can leave the fringes hanging if you like that design, or you could cut them so they look like little tiny bows. And that's how you cut perfect slits in a T-shirt.
