Hi, I'm Skylar. Gmail doesn't use traditional email aliases, they do something a little bit different. Let me show you how you could address an email to an alias of yours and access it. Alright, so here I've got a new message for composition, and I'm gonna type in my email address, and at the end of it I'm going to type plus and then give it a kind of a title. So like notes for example, and finish it off, and then subject just like I normally would, and click send. Okay the message has been sent, and we see it show up in my inbox right away, there it is. Now here's a trick, click settings and go to settings, then click filters and create a new filter. Alright. So, go down to two and type in your email address. You'll notice that you've got any different email address that you typed in with the plus feature. So these are sort of like aliases. So, now Gmail is gonna look for any email that comes in addressed to this alias. So create a filter with this search, and then we can choose apply the label, and pick notes, then click create filter. So, you've just created a filter and learned how to address emails to what amounts to an alias in Gmail. Thanks a lot for watching, I'm Skylar.
