Hello, and welcome to Sugar and Spice. My name is Melissa Randall from Baking with Melissa. And today I'm joined with my two friends Jessica and Yasmina. And today I'm going to talk to you about how to make boxed brownies chewy. Where there are two ways to make brownies by using a box. You can make them cake like or like I said chewy. On the back of a brownie box you will find the instructions on how to make your brownies. Now down at the very bottom it will say for cake like brownies you are going to use three eggs. In chewy brownies you will only use two. So what do you need to make cake mix brownies nice and chewy. Well you need the mix, you need two eggs. You need a fourth of a cup of oil and a half of a cup of water. You mix all of those ingredients together into the bowl and you have your brownie batter. Then you'll preheat your oven to 350 degrees. And depending on what size pan you use you'll spray that pan, either an eight by eight pan, a nine inch square pan, or a nine by thirteen pan. Follow the directions on how much time you need to bake them. And then you have the perfect chewy brownie by using a box mix.
