Hello, my name is Mr. Bee, I'm the head barber at Frank's Chop Shop located in the Lower East Side of New York City. And today, I'm going to be demonstrating the art of shading and leaving a natural line on the beard. My friend, Josh here has a defined line right now on his jawline. Some people don't like that, they want to look more naturally grown in. So, we're going to start off by putting an attachment on the clipper and you're going to want to go against the grain in upward motion where the line is, starting as such. You want to be careful not to go too, too high because you're going to go into the beard area. So, pretty much you stay right on that line and you just follow it along the contours of the face. Now, I've started with an attachment. It's always good to err on the side of long rather than short because you can take it off, but you can't put it back on. So, as we can see, the line is still there, so I've taken that off. And now, there's no attachment and I'm opening the blade all the way. And once again, going against the grain, staying on that line. Now, if the line's still there, it's always good to just keep slightly, bringing the blade closer. You don't need to make any big jumps, but it's a good idea to just do ti subtly. And again, staying on that line in an upward motion. And again, make sure you don't go too far up, because then that's going to get into the beard area. We're just focusing on the jawline. As you can see, it's starting to disappear. And lastly, you're going to want to close the blade all the way and very lightly go over that last subtle sign of definition. Alright, so after every shave, it's always a good idea to apply some sort of face lotion. Dove Men Plus Care has a decent one, that's a hydrate formula with SPF in it. So, if you're going to be going out in the sun that day, it works great. I' going to apply a little bit to Josh right now. You don't need a lot, a little goes a long ways. And you just go on the area that you've just shaved, just going around, rubbing it in with the grain. So that's effectively how you can shade a beard naturally. And my name is Mr. Bee, I'm the head barber at Frank's Chop Shop located in the Lower East Side of New York City, thank you.
