Hi, I am Sharon Whelchel filming here in Tustin, California from my crochet studio for my Etsy shop Starlike, and today I'm going to be teaching you guys how to crochet small oval eyes. And you can add these eyes to anything, to hats, to stuffed animals, to Amigurumi toys. But, I'm going to just give you the basics and then you guys can go from there. So first you're just going to crochet the length of the eye that you want. And I'm going to just stitch 5 stitches, so 5 chains. And then I'm going to turn and single crochet into the second stitch from the hook. And then I'm going to add 1 more single crochet into that same stitch. Then I'm going to single crochet into the next 2 stitches. And then finally I'm going to do 3 single crochets in the last stitch. And then working in the top loop of the chains that you first started crocheting, you're going to do 1 single crochet in the next 2 stitches, and then finding your first stitch you're going to slip stitch it to close your oval. And go ahead and pull out the tail and cut. And that is how to crochet small oval eyes.
