Hi, I'm T. Cooper. I'm a New York City makeup artist, hairstylist, and co-founder of beauty and grooming company Metro Look. Today, we're gonna talk about how to do pin up girl styles. That's some of my favorite hair cause it's so much fun and it's really pretty to look at, very feminine. So for this style what we're gonna need is some hair spray. My model has already been curled. We did a pin curl set and then we brushed her out so she's fine and you're gonna need some bobby pins and of course an accessory, one of my favorite ways to do is a nice flower but you can use any kind of, you can even use a big bow and it'll still look nice and pretty. So we're gonna do a nice quick style. These are some of my favorites. Victory rolls, I love me some victory rolls. Some people call them freedom rolls. I don't know which term is correct but either way you'll know, the person will know what you're talking about but I'm not sure if the correct term is victory or freedom but I digress. So we're just taking out a section of hair in front of the ear on the model's hair and we're gonna brush through it and now with my 2 fingers I'm going to roll the hair up. I'm gonna roll it around and then gonna slide it out and now I'm gonna pin it in place. There are so many different ways for you to do victory rolls. I'm doing them just at the top. Some people do it like, they do it almost like it's a half up half down and they kind if part it from there but you can really do your own thing with these and they're so cute and this roll is done. You give it a spray just to kind of keep it in place and curling the hair beforehand really does help in the rolling process because then your hair will naturally have some bend in it and then it'll just want to go in that direction you won't really be fighting with it too much. Just gonna brush her out a little bit and I'm gonna do the same thing. Take my 2 fingers, wrap the hair around it, and then roll up, and of you have any little stray hairs popping out on the side don't worry about it add some hairspray and a comb or a brush will kind of like smooth it down. It just happens. We all have little baby hairs and flyaways. Even though the styles are really polished you know a lot of the polishing happens after hand and I'm gonna spray these to control all those little baby hairs and now we've got a set of rolls and then we're gonna go on in with a flower. Make it nice and pretty and dainty, and criss-cross your bobby pins if you need to cause your hair might be a little silky. I'm T. Cooper, and thank you for watching. She's all done.
