Hi, my name is Eric Quinn, I'm a personal trainer and we here in Club Metro, Jersey City, New Jersey. Today, we're going to answer the question, what incline push-ups work? Okay, so, incline push-ups is excellent because it works, it works actually the same way it works in a regular push-up. The only difference is that, because of the angle, it focuses a little more on the lower part of the pecs. And the primary muscles are the pecs and the secondary muscles are your triceps and your delts. So, to do this, you just get on something that hopefully doesn't move. And you're going to do exactly the same thing you do in a regular push-up. So, you're going to bring your arms, shoulders width, bring your feet back and make sure you hold your core nice and tight, as you go down. When you go down, just make sure you bring your chest all the way down. So, you can touch the bench, or whatever it is that you're using. The breathing is very important, not just for the exercise, also for your core. You go down and up, and you press, working exactly the same things that you work in a regular push-up. The only reason some people do it like this, is because they try to build up strength. Because doing it flat, it's a little more difficult. So, doing it like this, it's a little easier, which is pretty much the same as doing a decline bench press. So, a little easier than doing a flat or incline. So, that's why we're doing it this way. For you to breathe, so you do the exercise, hold the current form, bring the elbows back. And that's how you do it.
