Hey there, my name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister, and today I'm going to demonstrate some ankle exercises for dancers. Now, dancers use their ankles all the time and if they injure an ankle, then they could be sideline for quite sometime. So, what we want to do today is to demonstrate just a few exercises and stretches that dancers can do to help sure up those ankle muscles, alright. The first one is just a basic stretch. We're going to balance on one foot; as we balance on one foot, we're going to point the toe as straight as we can get it. Then, we're going to pull the toes up as if we're going to try to pull them right onto our shin. So, down and up; down and up. Then, we switch legs, balancing on the other leg to do the exact same thing. Once we've got the stretch and the warm up going, then, we're just going to go up on the toes and then reverse back on the heels. Up on the toes, then reverse back on the heels. Pulling the toes up and reverse back on the heels. And the last one we're going to do is a plyometric move, we're going to open up, we're going to jump and land on the toes and come down. Jump, land on the toes and come down. Jump, land on the toes and come down. My name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister and those are just a couple of exercises that you can do as a dancer to help strengthen and workout your ankles.
