Hey there, my name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister. And today, I'm going to demonstrate how you can gain strength though pull-ups. Now, pull-ups of course, are one of the best upper body exercises in the world. But, they're not easy. They're not easy, but they're fair because the trade off when you learn to do a proper pull-up is tremendous upper body strength that translates into real world activity all the time. Alright. So, I'm going to show you how to do a proper chin-up and to how to do a proper pull-up. Alright. The chin ups are a little easier because you've got your hands in front or your hands and palms are facing your face, the hands, the palms are facing you. Your biceps are going to get recruited a little bit here. Boom! This way, boom. We're building not only power in our upper back, but boy, we start to work those biceps just as much as if we were doing a dumbbell curl. Alright. That's a little easier. Now, this is where the real fun comes in when you put the palms facing out. You grab, grab the pole; well, I like to use is a monkey grip, I like to put my thumbs on the same side as my other fingers. And then, exhale, "Phhhhh", "Hmmm", and just pull. "Puhhhh". You got to exhale, "Hhhhhh", "Pwehhhh", because that gives you extra power. Alright. This is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister and that's just a few of the ways you can gain tremendous power and strength from pull-ups.
