Hi, my name is Claire Coleman; I'm a Hairstylist and I'm going to show you how to do a side chignon hairstyle for bridesmaid. Now, I've started already by sectioning off the front section of our model's hair. We're going to leave that out and we're going to put that in later. I gather the rest of her hair into a low ponytail. And I like to do the, the style on the opposite side of the part. So, if you're parting on the left side, you want to do your style on the right and vice-versa. So, basically, I'm just going to start and I'm taking her ponytail and I'm going to make a three strand braid. And I'm just going to be braiding the hair and you want to keep it nice and tight. So, you're just taking your front section that you separated, pull it over the middle section, pull it tight and use your thumb and your finger to hold that section separated while you take your third section in the back and pull it over the section you just crossed. And you're just going to keep repeating that as you move down to the ends of your hair. And if you see like little fishhooks sticking out, you can just, you know, use your hands to just kind of go over it a little bit and smooth it out. And you're just going to go to the bottom and I really like to go all the way to the ends there, makes it all easier when you're trying to do the next step. So, I'll just take a little elastic and secure your ends. Next thing we're going to do is you're going to start wrapping into a bun and it's going to create a cute little rosette pattern here. And just make sure you get your ends tucked in there and then you're just going to secure it with a pin. And then once you do that, you're going to be taking these side sections that you left out and if you want to keep a couple pieces out around the face you can do that. But mostly, I'm just going to be smoothing it back. I'll keep a couple out front. And you can twist it a little, you maybe even want to braid it, but you can just add it into your little piece here. And then it just kind of gives us a little bit more dimension into your look. Tuck your ends into your piece and pin it. And the same on the other side, and I do want to kind of create a thick bang here, so I'm going to sweep forward with my brush and then gently hold it there. You can spray that a little bit too if you wish and just wrap that around. This side is going to be a little bit looser, so I'm going, I'm going to use a hairpin right here just to anchor it down a little bit before pinning it all the way into our bun. And just one more pin. Perfect. And you can see our little rosette from the side. Here's our look from the front. My name is Claire Coleman, I'm a Hairstylist and I just showed you how to do a low chignon for a bridesmaid for a wedding.
