Hi, my name is Claire Coleman. I'm a Hairstylist. I'm going to show you how to wear your hair with a birdcage veil. Birdcage veils are very dramatic, they're the short veil that just covers just a little piece of your eye. So, we really want to make sure that your hair is going to look really nice with that. It's really great too if you have bangs are really great for a birdcage veil. Our model doesn't have bangs, but we're going to create a faux bang just to make sure that we can do that for her. So, basically, you can start with any style on the back. I just did a quick little bun in the back, but I kept out these front pieces, just so that will be able to manipulate them a little bit. So, I'm going to start by curling her hair. And I'm going to take a big section here, kind of split this into two pieces. And you're going vertically from the front to the back. So, I'm going to pull the hair forward a little bit and I'm just going to gently feed the hair through the curling iron. You want to be very gentle. And I'm only going to be doing the front part here. Once we do that, I'm just going to secure that little front piece with a little clip and I'm going to do this piece as well. There we go. So, I'm just going to let that cool a little bit and I'm going to do the other side. I'm also going to pin this little piece here. It's just going to cool in this position a lot easier when you're pinning it. So, I'm going to do the other side and the other side, since we parted her hair, this is going to be just pretty much in one shop, but you're going to use the same technique pulling it forward and just brushing through. And these have cooled off nicely, so I'm going to take the pins out and I'm going to brush through gently. You can see that it's going forward, so we're already starting to create our fake bang here. So, we're gently brushing and very gently, I'm just going to tuck it behind the ear right now and I'm going to hold it there, "Close your eyes", and I'm going to spray. So, I'm going to smooth with my hand and just to reinforce this, I'm going to use one of my little clips here and push that forward. Now, the rest of this hair here, I'm just going to tuck into the bun in the back. And then, you're just going to do the same on the front of the hair on the other side. Once you feel that it's nice and dry, very very carefully pull out your pin. And then I like a little bit more spray just for good measure. And you can see we created a faux bang here. And then once you put your veil on, it's going to give a nice little background for your veil just so you'll be able to see and it look really beautiful. And my name is Claire Coleman, I'm a Hairstylist and I just showed you how to style your hair with a birdcage veil.
