Hi everyone, I'm hairstylist Amanda Shackleton from, and today I'm here to show you how to use castor oil for dry hair. Castor oil has been around for a very long time and it's actually a plant extract. And it's a wonderful moisturizer, they use it a lot in soaps and body lotions and things like that. It's an old-fashioned remedy for dry hair. The thing with castor oil, it's a heavy oil. So, you want to be careful with it, just use a teeny bit, and go ahead and start in the ends of your hair. So, I'm going to take a little bit on my hands, just like this. I've gone ahead and sectioned our model's hair into small sections. And I'm rubbing it around in my hand, like this and then, just coming in and adding it just to the ends of the hair, like this. You have to be super careful, if you've got thin hair or very fine hair. You may just want to use a quarter of the amount that I just used, and just concentrate on the ends. So, let's go ahead and take a little bit more, really rub it into the ends of the hair. It's better to take and start with a little bit and then, add as you need it, rather than putting too much. Because if you put too much on, unfortunately it's really hard to get rid of. So, I'm going to take a little bit more, go ahead and finish this side. And then, move our model to the front. And with what little bit I have left on my hands here, I'm just going to run it through these baby hairs at her forehead. And then, just run it through the rest of her hair. And it's as simple as that, you don't need to go out and spend a fortune on hair products. You can just go ahead, go to your health food store and get some castor oil. Put it in the ends of your hair and you'll have a beautiful hairstyle. I'm Amanda Shackleton and I'm a hairstylist.
