Hey! This is Dany J. in Southlake, Texas. I am at Camp Hero Fitness, and I’m going to show you how to do calf stretches using the stairs. Calf muscles are prone to get really tight, especially if you walk around in high heels, but even just running around and doing your normal day-to-day activity. So, it’s super important to stretch your calf muscles, and really you want to do it wherever you can. There’s no equipment you have to use. In fact, I’m going to show you how you can just stretch them on the stairs. Basically, you want to find a step – it can be a porch or even a curb – you’re going to put your toe on the edge, and you’re going to drop your heel down as far as you can, and you’re really going to feel the stretch right there. You want to make sure you hold that stretch 20 to 30 seconds, or until it starts to relax, and then switch sides. I recommend doing this on both sides, two to three times, and you can do this many times throughout the day, or every time you go up and down the stairs. Do it whenever you can. You cannot stretch these calves out too much. Again, this is Dany J. at Camp Hero Fitness, and I just showed you how to use the stairs for calf stretches.
