Hey there, my name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister. And today, we're going to demonstrate some leg exercises utilizing the tension cord. Now, I think everybody ought to know by this point that I am a fanatic about resistance bands, otherwise known as tension cords. These resistance bands are extremely versatile, extremely portable and extremely affordable. So, that makes them an extremely good value. Now, we're going to demonstrate three really quick exercises that you can do to help build your lower body, your entire lower body using the tension cord. So, we're going to step in with both feet. We're going to make sure we put the band in the arch of our foot to ensure that the band does not snap up and snap us. We're going to open our legs wider than shoulder width apart. Bring the bands up to your shoulders, bring them up to your shoulders, wrap them around the elbow, chest is up and then, we're going to move into our favorite squat move. We're going push down through the heels and up. Boom! Finishing the full range of motion by tucking the pelvis under the shoulders. Down and then up. Down and then up. Now, another move that we can do with the resistance bands or the tension cord is a lunge. So, now we're going to put the band in the same arch, we're starting with the left foot forward, push your right foot back as far as you can; nice and tall, chest up. Engage the cage, so you're balance. Again, we're bringing the bands right behind the elbows and we're going to push down into the hips and heels and then push up through the heel. Down into the hips and heels and push up. We'll do the same thing on the other side. Same exact move, just stay nice and congruent, good balance down and up; down and up. And our last move is for our abductor. Our abductor is the muscle that works to lift the leg away from the body. So, we strengthen this up, great speed producer. So, we push up, boom and out. Just like we're walking side to side, keeping that band right in the arch. Alright. My name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister and these are just a few exercises that you can do to build your lower body with the tension cords.
