Hi, I'm Michelle Simone, and I'm a hair stylist, and today I'm going to show you how to make your hair less greasy without washing it. So the number one product that you can use to make your hair less greasy is called dry shampoo. It comes in either a spray or a powder form. I have a spray but it doesn't matter which one you use. The important part is how you use it. So let's say your scalp is more oily than the roots which is typically the case. You want to start with the dry shampoo bottle about six to 12 inches away from your hair. Any closer and it's going to get kind of dusty. You're going to see the powder particles in your hair. So from far away you're going to really want to spray it on top and get underneath right at the root. What you're going to do is just work it in with your fingers. Kind of massage it in to your scalp and that's going to work to absorb the oil from your hair. It's also going to give you kind of a nice body and volume to your hair. So that's something you can do in the morning if you don't want to wash your hair again and you want to re style it. But something else you can do if you find that your hair is getting oily in the middle of the day is to take a typical oil blotting paper that would be for your face and actually just take it and press it right in to your hair at the roots where you see the grease. And that will actually help to absorb a lot of the oil that you get in a day. And that's pretty much it. So I'm Michelle Simone, and we just showed you how to make your hair ungreasy without washing it.
