Hi, I'm Emily Jones, fitness expert and competitor, and I'm going to demonstrate to you today the proper dumbbell weights for an older man. The keys to getting the proper dumbbell weight for an older man is actually choosing a dumbbell that is enough weight causing resistance on the muscles being trained but not too much that you lose your form. So I chose seven and a half pound dumbbells and I'm going to be doing some curls. Make sure that you are working out the muscles but you don't put too much strain on your back or any of the accessory muscles that you are working out. Once you have any pain or discomfort make sure that you discontinue your workouts. We're going to be doing alternating and you're going to do about 15 reps for about two sets. And again, I'm Emily Jones, fitness expert and competitor, and I just demonstrated to you the proper dumbbell weight for an older man. Have a great day.
