Hi, I'm Erin Hendley, professional makeup artist, and today I'm here to answer your question should wedding makeup be glamorous or natural. In all honesty it depends on the aspect of the wedding and what time of day and night but a good rule of thumb is just to enhance the bride's natural beauty and make her the best version of herself. So besides just taking in the personality of the bride as well, we're just going to go in and do a few simple things that we can assure will make the bride look their best. First things first we're going to groom them. So we want to make sure that the hair is in place and these are just a few basics. More on the natural side for this but these are all things that would first need to be applied for a glamorous makeup application as well. So after we've groomed the eyes and the hair in place, we are going to make sure that we have some mascara. If you want it glamorous, pop on some false lashes after you apply some mascara. Waterproof is essential for a bride on that special day so be sure to remember that. And after we've applied mascara it's always good as the quote says, the blushing bride, so we need to put some nice pretty blush on them. This is for a natural makeup, just something that goes with the skin tone, something natural so when they smile it will just radiate. And these are just the basics. Top it off with a nice lip color, under eye concealer and a little bit of contour on that special day and for glamor you can just intensify the lip and pop on some false lashes and maybe even a gloss. I'm Erin Hendley, and I just answered your question should makeup be glamorous or natural for your wedding.
