Hi, I'm Erin Hendley, professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you how to do makeup that makes it look like you're burnt. So what we're going to do is we started off, we applied liquid latex on. It takes about a minute to dry and then we pried in some holes using the end of our brush. So we just went upwards to create some texture because that's pretty important when we are creating the look that we've been burnt. After that we're going to need to add color and so what I'm going to do is go in with a color wheel and we're just going to be working with a bunch of reds and purples. Browns might work well too. So we're just going in onto the applied liquid latex and really enhancing that texture. It depends on how intense of a burn you want and as you can see the texture is showing through with the holes we made. It's always good to just spread out the edges to make it look as organic as possible. Go in with a darker color in the holes. That's where it's going to be more crisp and then we can go in with a brown on the outside to really enhance that as well. The key is to layer colors to give it more dimension and texture. So depending on what degree burn you are trying to duplicate, you should apply more or less liquid latex in colors. Popping in a little bit of yellow can help it look deadened as well. I'm Erin Hendley, and I just showed you how to apply makeup that makes it look like your skin is burnt.
