Hey there, my name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister. And today, I'm going to demonstrate two exercises that will work your quadriceps without straining your knees. Now we all know that squats are one of the best lower body exercises that you can do. But if you have some preexisting conditions or extenuating circumstances like old injuries, or you are overweight then sometimes those knees will take a beating. So what we've done today is modified a few squats so you can do them without stressing those knees and still burn those quads alright. So the first one we are going to do is what we call a closed leg get up, get down from a seated position. Get any chair. We don't want a chair that you can push off of because we want you to utilize those quads. So the first thing you want to do is put our hands in a praying position. Right in front of the chest. Then we just push up, roll the pelvis forward. And then we come down. Praying hands work every time. Push up and then stick the butt out and sit back down. That's the first exercise. Great quad conditioning. Second one, we are going to open our legs. Pretend that this is a chair and we are going to stick our legs outside the chair legs. Alright. Again hands in the praying position. Chest up, shoulders down and back. This time you'll feel it in the quads and the glutes a little more. Wide legs forces that glute to engage more and the quads are still getting burned at the same time. Alright, fantastic. My name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister.
