Hey there. My name is Jay Jones, celebrity peak performance coach and fitness minister, and today I'm going to demonstrate three exercises that will help you work your trapezius at home. The traps, the tarps are very very important of course for men they are what we call highlight muscles. They look great in a shirt and under a nice sweater but the trapezius are very important in lifting your shoulders and carrying heavy weight. So this is what we're going to do to build those traps right at home. I'm going to lift these weights. We've got the 25s on this exercise. You can typically go heavier because you're going to build a muscle that's typically built to bear a burden. The first exercise we're going to do are shoulder shrugs. We're going to go up and down, squeeze and release, squeeze and release, excellent job. The second exercise we're doing is called an upright row and we're just bringing the weight up and down, up and down, one more time, up and down and our last move with the same 25s is a bent over row, legs are wider than shoulder width apart. We bend down and we row the weight up, row the weight up, keeping the back flat, not rounded, chest out so the back is flat and we row.
