Hi, everyone. My name is Joi, licensed nail technician, and I want to show you all today how to debride dry cracked heels. So debride meaning we are going to remove the dead skin. A couple of things that you can use and it's your choice whatever you are comfortable with. I've got a foot wand here also known as a foot paddle, or an exfoliator. And then I have my pumice stone. So pumice stone is going to be a bit grittier. The exfoliator is going to have a little bit more of a fine grit. So it's going to be a little more gentle. So I'm just going to show you here this is the more commonly used tool. If you want to debride, get the dry skin off of your heels you just want to take it and you can do this dry or you can do it wet. Just it's up to you. We're actually doing it dry here. Doing it dry is going to get more of the dead skin off. So this is for someone that has really, really dry heels, okay. And you just use this motion. Whether you are doing it dry or wet just want to go in one direction. And you should be able to see the skin coming off if you are doing it dry. If you are doing it wet you may not see it but it is still working. Okay. So you do that. If you are doing it wet you rinse, if you are doing it dry you proceed with the rest of your pedicure. Either way you go you are going to have softer heels at the end of it. So hope this is helpful to everyone, and thank you all for watching. I'm Joi.
