Hi everyone, my name is Joi, Licensed Nail Technician, and today I'm going to show you how to give a pedicure. So, the things I'm going to be using are an antiseptic spray, nail clippers and of course, as usual, nail file and buffer. So, one thing you want to be sure of when you start giving your pedicure is that everything is nice and sanitary. So, you want to take your antiseptic spray and it doesn't have to be any bran in particular, you actually could use anything, Sea Breeze, you can actually use a little bit of alcohol, which is whatever you have. So, put it in a spray bottle and just lightly mist the foot; you don't need to do it to the point of it being soaking, the point is just to freshen up a little bit and make sure that everything is nice and clean. So, towel off just a little bit, and then the second thing that's really important with your pedicure is the way that you cut the toenails. So, what you want to do is you want to make sure you're going straight across; you don't want to cut into the sides because that can lead to ingrown toenails. So, you want to clip the toenails straight across, if your toenails are long, you just kind of use, you know, you go in by level. You clip a little bit, you clip a little bit more, you don't want to try to take off too much at once because you don't want to cut the skin. So, that's a really important thing to remember. And then of course, as usual, you go ahead, file and buff, just as you would with a pedicure, whatever shape you choose. Okay. Filing and make sure that everything is even. And then of course, you will follow up with your polishes, base coat, two coats of color and top coat. And there you have it, a nice professional pedicure. So, thank you all for watching and again, my name is Joi. Bye.
