Hi, I’m Erin Hendley, professional makeup artist, and today I’m going to show you how you can heal a pimple scab. So, when we break out, it’s very important to first take the precautionary steps, and try not to pick at your face, and to make sure that it’s clean at all times. So, don’t put too much makeup or anything on the infected area. And, if we must, we need to clean our face, and scabs are a little more texturized. So, what we need to do is really just moisturize them and prevent anything from the free radicals from touching it. So, what we’re going to do is go in with our good old petroleum jelly Vaseline – my go-to product – and we are just going to coat the scab. And, we’re just going to blot. It doesn’t take much practice or effort. We’re just tapping it there, we’re not swiping it. We don’t want to irritate it or abrupt it at all. We’re really just trying to coat it and make sure that it’s not infected. And also, we’re retaining moisture back into it, so the skin can properly heal without being infected or affected. Now, if you have a bigger scab or scar, then what you need to do is just constantly reapply it. So, depending on the size and the indentation, that can help you dictate how much and how often you need to reapply. I’m Erin Hendley, and I just showed you how heal a pimple scab.
