Hi, my name is Brian Rauber with the Rauber Insurance Agency. Today's topic, the benefits of home insurance. For most people, the homeowner's is their largest asset. Homeowner's is required by mortgage lenders. If you own your home outright, it's an optional coverage. A typical homeowner's policy will cover you for the following: dwelling insurance. Dwelling insurance is protection for the structure of your home. It covers you for things such as fire, vandalism, theft and weather-related claims. You also have coverage for separate structures. Separate structures include outbuildings, sheds and fences on your property. Liability insurance covers you for the event that someone's hurt on your property and chooses to sue. Loss of use is a coverage that pays to put you up in another residence in the event that a claim makes your home uninhabitable. And last is personal property. It's the contents of your home. Personal property coverage will protect your items anywhere in the world. Again, I'm Brian Rauber, and thanks for watching.
