I'm Brian Rauber with The Rauber Insurance Agency. Today's topic is the role of the claims representative. The claims rep is an employee of the insurance carrier reviewing he claim. It's their job to investigate the loss. The claims rep will interview claimants and witnesses. They will also consult with police and hospital records to determine if the insurance carrier is liable for the claim. They will then review the policy to determine if the expenses should be covered and ultimately it is the claims representative who will approve or deny the claim. I'm Brian Rauber. Thanks for watching.
