Hello, I'm Denise Druce, a Registered Yoga Teacher in South Lake City, Utah. Let's look at ways to determine the correct size of a Yoga ball or stability ball that you're going to use for Yoga. So, these balls typically come in two sizes, 55 centimeter or 65 centimeter. And I have one of each here, so you can see the difference between the two. So, the best way to determine if the ball is the right size for you is to actually inflate the ball where it's firm but not really stiff and then sit your hips right on top of the ball. And what we're looking for is an exact 90 degree bend in the knee. So, if I'm sitting on top of the ball and my knees are 90 degrees, this is probably going to be the best ball for me. So, let me show you what that looks like if I were on a ball that wasn't the right height height. So, you can see how that puts my hips a little bit higher than my knees, so this ball would quite a bit more uncomfortable for me to, to use for Yoga. So, again, 55 centimeters, 65 centimeter, it depends on your height and the length of your legs, but the best way to tell is to inflate the ball and look for a 90 degree bend in your knees. I'm Denise Druce, for more fitness or Yoga tips, please see my website.
