Hi, I'm Erin Hendley, professional makeup artist, and today I am going to show you an alternative to brushes for skin brushing. So that's a very fancy name just to say that we use brushes to put on one of our product. And brushes are one of the primary things that we do use in makeup or skincare when applying a product. But there are other methods you could use. One can be just your fingertips and two could be a nice sponge. And sponges are one of the things that I opt for the most. And it's kind of a double edge sword, it absorbs more product but it also distributes product better. So that's what we are going to instead of using these brushes we are going to use our sponge. And we are just going to start off with some skincare. We are just putting on a nice misted ionized mineral water which is great for waking up the skin. And as we can see that these sponges can also dictate and go into areas and be manipulated better then the brush hair sometimes. So it's also very nice that way. Another benefit is that if you loose a sponge they are only a couple of cents as opposed to 20 to 30 dollars for a brush. And a lot of times when we use brushes on our face we can see the strokes of the product that we have left behind especially when it comes to foundation or an eyeshadow. And sponges don't' really leave those marks because they press the product in and they blend very well. So since these are disposable you can wash them and use them again and brushes need to be cared for a lot better too. So sponges are a very good option when it comes to applying makeup. I'm Erin Hendley and I just showed you a brush face alternative.
