Hi, I'm Erin Hendley, Professional Makeup Artist, and today I'm going to show you home remedies to cure skin. So, what we're going to do is if we have any redness or acne going on, those are the primary targets. We can resort to two fun products, toothpaste and petroleum jelly. They're both reasonable for your budget and they both are good for red skin. And I will describe why. Toothpaste is great for pimples and acne and swelling because of the peroxide and the baking soda in it. So, what we're going to do is just take a Q-tip or you can use your finger if you're at home and we are going to go over the selected areas of redness or any acne prone areas and just dust over it with the toothpaste. The peroxide and baking soda will help dry out the areas because the oil is usually the main reason that we are breaking out. So, it's going to just help extract those oils and almost act as a, an astringent. Once we have that down, we can also pinpoint other areas and use our petroleum jelly. The petroleum jelly won't reduce the redness necessarily, but it will prevent and create a barrier so that the areas don't get more red or infected. Petroleum jelly just creates a barrier between the skin and any of the free radicals in the air that could potentially cause redness. I like to put it mainly on the T-zone and the cheeks and then around the cracks of the nose, primarily where the wind could affect it and inflame it; just a little around the mouth as well. I'm Erin Hendley, and I just showed you home remedies to cure crack, irritated or dry skin.
