My name is Sandra Blackie, and I'm here at World's Gym in Pacific Beach, San Diego. And I'm going to be showing you the top bicep exercises that I prefer to teach my clients. There's a wide variety of exercises for each major muscle group including the biceps. One of them is sitting palms facing each other and we call this also elbow flexion. Other variations include standing with a barbell or using rubber bands. So when you are standing with a barbell you are working both arms at the same time. And the palms are supinated, they are facing the upward position. When we switch to the third variation that I'm going to show you all you are doing is using rubber bands and alternating one side and the other. So how many times a week do we do biceps? Well the answer to that question is it depends on the volume. A beginner might do their biceps two to three times a week but they are only doing two to three sets which is a group of repetitions. An advanced person would add maybe more sets or more exercise to their program. With this kind of bicep workout I would recommend that you use it about twice a week.
