Hi, this is Tarik Tayler with here at Train, West Hollywood, and this is how to get bigger legs doing deadlifts. Okay, the number one thing we're going to use here is an Olympic deadlift. So what you're going to do here is once you squat down, take an underhand and an overhand grip. The reason why you take this grip is so that the bar is secured. Make sure your weight is sitting back into your heels, don't tilt your body weight over the bar. Once you've got that position, you keep your chin either forward or looking straight up and then drive up. As you drive up, push your hips in towards the bar. Once you've got that position, now you are at the finishing point, and you want to go right back down nice and slow to the starting point and then drive right back up again. Always make sure that you've got that over underhand grip, you don't want the bar to slip out and then drop it right back down. Now, the important thing to understand is that you're going to have to make sure that your resistance gets progressively harder so that you keep seeing results. That is what's going to make your legs bigger. So you're going to start out initially with a set of 12, take a 90 second break, then go to a set of 8, take another 90 second break, then go down to 6 and then go down to as low as 4. No lower than 4, you want to make sure that you are really stressing the muscle fibers and giving them a reason to grow. This is Tarik Tyler and this was how to get bigger legs doing deadlifts.
