Hi, I’m Michelle Simone, and I’m a hairstylist, and today I’m going to show you how to do paper towel curls. So, I’m starting with wet hair, but you can also do this with dry hair – you just have to leave it in for longer, or you have to use a blow dryer to add some heat to it and get it to set. So, basically, paper towel curls, also known as “rag” curls, are really easy. What you’re going to do is take a piece of paper towel. Right at the end of your hair, wrap your hair into the paper towel and just start rolling it up. You’re going to roll your hair up as high as you want. The lower down you roll it up to, the lower your curl will start. So, I’m rolling to about here. And then, you’re just going to tie the ends of the paper towel together. The nice thing about using these kinds of curls is you can easily sleep on it because there’s no pins, there’s no hair bands. It’s nice and soft on your hair. So, just keep doing this all the way around your head. If you use smaller sections of hair, you’ll get smaller curls. If you use bigger sections, you’ll get bigger curls. But, you just take each piece, start it right at the bottom, roll it over, let’s just start rolling it up. And then, tie it off. You’re just going to continue this and do the same thing all the way around your head. And then, in the morning when you take them out you get nice, big, bouncy curls. And, that’s it! That’s how you make paper towel curls.
