Hey, guys. This is Laura Heyns. I'm a hairstylist and makeup artist at Urban Betty in Austin, Texas, and in this video I'm going to show you guys how to disguise bruising using makeup. So on Madeline today it looks like her bruise is a couple day's old. So what you want to do first is figure out the center part of the bruise and what color that is and then the color you need to cancel that out. So start in the center where the most color is concentrated and just go in and start dabbing that out from the very center and then just pull that color through. So this foundation has a lot of coverage so this is going to take out a lot of the work anyways, but that yellow undertone is going to cancel out that purple in the bruising. So now that I have that set, the kind of color building out from the bruise that has that kind of greenish blue hue, I'm going to use the very tiniest amount of red pigment, mix that in with this foundation and then brush that in and around. So now I'm just going to take it and just ever so slightly go in little circles around that bruise and it's really good if you are doing body work to make sure you get a waterproof or water resistant foundation that way it won't rub off on clothes. And mineral powders are really good bronzers too for the skin because they have a natural skin finish. So just dust that around with the same brush that you used and you should be good to go. So this is Laura Heyns with Urban Betty's Salon here in Austin, Texas, and I just showed you guys how to disguise bruising using makeup.
