Hey, guys. This is Laura Heyns, I'm a hairstylist and makeup artist at Urban Betty Salon, here in Austin, Texas, and today I'm going to show you how to remove your makeup using extra virgin olive oil. So, a lot of people, especially, recently are trying to find you know, more natural alternatives to makeup removers. And things you don't have to buy over the counter, they have chemicals in them, and things that you don't necessarily want on your skin. So, what a lot of people don't know is, you can find a lot of natural makeup removers just in your pantry. Extra virgin olive oil is a great one to use, almond milk is really good to use, if you have sensitive skin. There's a lot of things that you can just find around your house to use as an alternative, which is really cool. So, Madeline has on, kind of just a basic everyday face with makeup. And what I like to do is, just kind of drizzle a little bit of the extra virgin olive oil on a soft napkin or tissue, or anything like that. Try to go with the skin, gravity already fights you enough as it is, you don't need to make it worse on yourself. So, kind of just go in sweeping, upward motions, little circles, usually gets the job done. And like I said before, you know, there's a lot of different options that you can do with this. And people are trying to find different alternatives to over-the-counter stuff and this is cool, because you can make a spaghetti and remove your makeup at the same time. Working at a makeup counter for as long as I did, it was really funny. Because every time I tried to stop women and ask them why their skin was so pretty. Because I would always seek out really pretty, glowing, healthy skin on older women. And nine times out of ten, they would tell me something super old school, like they removed their makeup with Vaseline, or extra virgin olive oil, or almond milk or any one of those, kind of natural alternatives. And I was always really shocked, because you know, here I was selling 100 dollar creams to remove your makeup, and they were doing it basically for free, out of their kitchen. And they had amazing skin to show for it. So, this is kind of just a cool, more natural alternative. And everybody's skin different, you know. Like, this is going to be a trial and error kind of thing, you don't really know what's really going to work for you, until you try. So, just give it a shot, what do you have to lose, this is kind of, really simple, easy stuff. And for all you know, this could be your new best friend. So, my name's Laura Heyns, I am a hairstylist and makeup artist at Urban Betty Salon, here in Austin, Texas, and I just showed you guys how to remove your makeup using extra virgin olive oil.
