Hi, I'm Hillary Cooper, a New York City based fashion stylist here to talk to you about the best footwear to wear with a distressed shearling jacket. I love shearling, it is really a terrific fabric. It's fur but it's not really fur. It keeps you warm, it keeps you dry. It's a great essential coat for everybody that lives in a cold climate and a great footwear to wear with it, always great and simple and chic are boots and I love these suede over-the-knee boots. They are flat, they are comfortable, look terrific with the mixed texture of a distressed shearling and the suede on the bottom. Also leather is great and any sort of boot that's simple and basic will be rugged enough to wear with the shearling. The idea is that you know, they're sort of tough and rugged pieces and you want to sort of keep it all together. You know a delicate shoe doesn't really work with a distressed shearling, I like to see a more rugged look. Another idea is a motorcycle boot and this is a great example of a chocolate brown motorcycle boot. It's also very versatile. It looks great with any sort of denim, leggings, corduroys, another great warm essential for a cold day, a distressed leather jacket, a great pair of flat boots and a pair of cords, all you need to look simple and chic and pulled together in the Wintertime. A distressed shearling is a terrific fabric and looks wonderful with some rugged fun boots as your footwear.
