Hi, I'm Hillary Cooper, a New York city based fashion stylist here to talk to you about the best length for a trench coat. My go-to length for my clients always ask this question, you never want a coat to be too long or too short, has to keep you warm and dry in a rain storm, especially in New York City when we're outside walking all the time, is a three quarter length. I love the idea of a trench coat that's neither too long nor too short. It's universally flattering. A great way a double breasted coat could be worn, three quarter length and add a little bit of punch of color, a scarf, a tie of some sort, a belt. Navy blue is a great classic as is khaki, another great example of a simple three quarter length trench, you tie it in a nice big bow, you've got a little bit of an open neckline, you can add a silk scarf, a three quarter length trench coat is really the ideal length, and a perfect fit for anybody on a rainy day.
