Welcome back to the Cave Camp. I'm Coach PJ at CPJ Fitness in San Diego, California for eHow.com, and today I'm going to show you how to use a step to do your squats to work your outer thighs. Okay so now I'm going to demonstrate using a step how to do squats and work the outer thigh muscles. So you get on top of your step, you're going to side step out and squat down and then drive your leg back. Now you can keep doing the same side if you want and drive yourself back. You want to make sure your back is straight and your eyes are looking forward, shift to the other side and work the other side. You're going to feel, when you drive this leg back up it's going to work this whole outer thigh and it's also going to work this outer thigh muscle on this side too in the glutes because you've got to drive yourself back up with balance and then step right back down. When you do this, make sure your feet are staying forward and you're not getting all pointed out and toes in. So here, put everything parallel, squat down and drive it up. And that's it. Once again, I'm Coach PJ at CPJ Fitness in San Diego, California for eHow.com. I just demonstrated how to use a step when doing squats to work your outer thighs.
