Hi, I'm Renee Byrd with Camp Gladiator, and today we're gonna talk about how to perform a shoulder press properly. The shoulder press is a great exercise to work your shoulders and your back. The important thing is as with anything else guys, you have to do it properly. So if you're doing a standing exercise, same position as always, core is tucked in, chest is out, you're really engaging your lats by pulling those shoulders back and down, never locking out your knees, use your quads and your core to help stabilize. So with your dumbbells in hand you're gonna bring your weights up probably around head level. The important thing is if you're new to this you wanna make sure that your shoulders are gonna stay right around your, with your elbow line. You don't want to drop your elbows lower, you want to keep your elbows right along that shoulder line. So as you press your weight forward, make sure you're not locking out your elbows. Key points, don't lock out your elbows, abs are in, chest is always out, and draw those lats down and back. Again, I'm Renee Byrd, with Camp Gladiator, and we just covered how to perform a shoulder press properly.
