Hi everyone. My name is Joi, freelance makeup artist in New York and I want to show you all today how to get a dewy and luminous look with your foundation. So we're going to be using a couple of foundation brushes. We're going to use primer and I'm also going to use a sheer coverage foundation. So the dewy luminous look that everyone wants is basically just a combination of a few things, number one, the proper preparation of the skin, the proper technique in using the right formulas of makeup. So to start off I'm going to be using a primer which is going to just prepare the skin for the makeup. We've already done our cleansing and our moisturizing so I'm just going to lightly apply the primer with my basic foundation brush. Okay and doing that all over the face. Using a brush is going to ensure that we get just the right amount of primer into the skin. Okay just making sure that we get everywhere there. Okay and then the second thing I'm going to do is I'm going to be using a very sheer coverage foundation and I'm going to use my dual fiber brush. The reason that I'm using this is because the synthetic fibers on the end are going to allow me to do a very light coverage and to sort of buff it into the skin as needed. Okay, so I'm just going to take this and I'm just doing sort of a swirling motion and we're going to do that all over. The thing that takes away from a luminous and dewy look is applying your products too heavily and adding too much powder. So this brush is a big help in the light application technique. Okay so swirling everywhere and if you want you can actually use a smaller one to get to smaller areas like around the eye, around the nose but just to quickly show you here how this brush works, how the technique works, we're just using our medium size brush all over. Okay and as you can see she's getting coverage and she's not looking like she's wearing a lot of makeup. Okay and you want to be sure that you go down to the jawline and just gently working it into the skin. Okay, so there we go. As you can see we've got coverage on the skin but it still looks very natural and it looks very dewy. So hope this was helpful to you all. Thank you guys for watching and again my name is Joi, bye.
