Hey, guys. It's Faith Dey. I'm at Princeton Club West in Madison, Wisconsin, and we're talking about abs exercises that help your posture. So, normally, if a client comes to me with something like this and they want to improve their posture, I probably won't put you on the floor to do crunches. Crunches only addresses your abs in one specific way. I want to help you strengthen your core all the way around, including your back so that'll help your posture. So, I'm going to ask you to do planks, either a center plank or side plank. They're a little more challenging, but you get a better benefit especially for your posture. So, you can do a center plank a couple of ways which I'll show you, which is either on your hands, long arms or on your forearms, little bit shorter; a little bit more challenging depending. And then, we're going to transition into a side plank which is very challenging; so, if you need modification, just put your knee on the floor and I'll show you how to do that. Take both exercises, a center plank and then turn that into a side plank. Try to time yourself about five to ten seconds at a time and then take a break. This work overtime for your abdominals, will transfer into better posture. I hope that helps you, and if you need more, just visit me at faithdeyfitness.com.
