Hi, my name is Erica Lugbill and I'm an interior designer in Chicago. I own Lugbill Designs, which is a high-end residential remodeling and interior design firm. Today, I'm going to be covering what colors to paint a common hallway in an apartment complex. The idea here, is to keep it light, airy, neutral, you don't want to make the hallways feel closed and arcade like. And then, you also want the hallways to flow right into each individual apartment, and not be too distracting or to clash with the paint colors inside the apartments. You can see, in this apartment complex, the walls were done right. They're just a nice, neutral tan, they go with everything, it's not too dark, but it's still interesting and it's not white. It's a little bit warmer than white. Here are few other paint colors that would work well. These two, in more of the gray tones and this one again, in a warmer tan tone. So, just keep in mind, you don't want a plain white, that will look too sterile, you don't want anything too dark. So, somewhere nice, light and neutral will work perfectly.
