Hi, I'm Tom Hutchinson from Hutchinson Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. I'm here today to talk to you about filter maintenance on your gas fired furnace. It's important, every home is different to make sure that you inspect your filter on a monthly basis and replace it on an as needed basis. If you look at it on a monthly basis you'll determine what your home requirements are. You simply remove the filter door, slide the filter from its assembly and inspect it. If it's dirty, if it has pet hair, you want to make sure you want to have fresh filters on hand that can be obtained at your hardware store and put a clean filter in. When you are replacing your filter make sure that the arrow on the filter assembly is pointed towards the furnace before you reinstall the furnace filter. You want to make sure that the filter door is reinstalled so you are not bringing excess air into the system from your basement or from your attic area. It's important to maintain proper air flow on your gas furnace for your own comfort and your family's comfort. Again, I'm Tom Hutchinson from Hutchinson Plumbing, Heating and Cooling. Thank you for watching.
