Hi, I'm Di-Anne Di Re, you're public communication coach and trainer. Today, I'm going to show you how to decorate a vendor booth. For many vendors, shows and expos are an important element in their marketing strategy. They introduce their brand, products or services to potential customers and buyers and create a following in the industry. As you prepare a booth or table for a show, design a layout that puts the focus on your brand, products and or services. Your booth decorating elements should all be cohesive to draw customers. Make sure that your table is not across the entry, making people reluctant to pass by to enter your booth. Great lighting for your booth is very important. If it's not provided, bring your own. If not provided, or you desire, you should place a piece of fabric before placing marketing materials. Place a banner either in the front of the table, or if possible, behind you. Signage is key to attracting attention to drawing people in. Make sure the lettering is clear and printed in red, black or blue. Avoid yellow, brown, or orange. I would strongly suggest to place two banners at either side of the table on the floor or if possible, on the top of the table to give it height. Give something away. You will need marketing pieces to hand out displaying your brand. Such as red cards, post cards, business cards, notepads and pens. Raffle a product or service and make sure you make the sign explaining the raffle item or service. Provide a jar or bucket container to place business cards or contact information. This is a great way to collect business cards to increase your database and follow up with every one you meet. Another way to showcase your brand is to display movement. Feature a presentation or demo on a wide screen or a laptop your business or products. Games are also another way to attract the public to your booth, when creating a buzz with the game creates excitement and draws people to come and see you. Bright colors, simple designs, eliminates clutter. Eliminate the must, must put everything we do on the banners. Let your design attract people to your booth, and then you can sell them to your concept. Once again, I'm Di-Anne Di Re, thanks for watching.
