Hello, I'm Charles Galbreath, workforce empowerment speaker and human resource professional. Today, I want to share with you some tips for how to display your skills during your job interview. Your job interview is your time to shine. It's your time to showcase the best of who you are with people who may or may not know you. So it's very important that you are able to articulate the best of who you are and the best of what you have to offer. So some things that you want to remember, be able to articulate how the past positions that had fit into or transfer into the position that you're going for. Also be very knowledgeable about specific experiences that you've had that showcase your ability to succeed when in the face of challenges, when you're in the face of problem solving, when you're in the face of some of the tasks that you'll be asked to do within this new position. It's also extremely important that you're able to articulate or showcase how well you work with other people. We're in a society that depends a lot on teamwork, and depends a lot on collaboration and group work. So it's very important that you're able to showcase your interpersonal skills. It's very important that you're able to showcase how well you get along with and work with others. Something that also is very important, it's important that you showcase your initiative and your attitude. Now these are what we would call soft skills but those soft skills, your initiative and your attitude, they're very important in you connecting and belonging with this new position. So if you're able to showcase those functions then you should be very successful in your job search and in applying for your job. Good luck with your job search, have a wonderful day.
