Hi, my name is Steven Benedict. I'm a strength and conditioning coach and performance enhancement specialist. Today, we're going to be talking about training for a mini triathlon which consists of a half a mile swim, 12 mile bike ride and a 5K run. Over the next few weeks I'm going to devise a program for you consisting of an eight week progression. Let's take you through your first week. It will consist of a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, rest day and Friday, long bike ride. On a Monday you will typically go out and take a 30 minute bike ride, coming back on a Tuesday, doing a 20 minute run and also a strength and conditioning program in the afternoon. Wednesday you'll come back for a 400 yard swim, take off Thursday, rest and recovery, come back on Friday with a 45 minute run. See to the program for the next eight week progression. This is Steven Benedict and follow me at www.stevenbenedict.com or at Twitterbenedict_steven, and remember the best results you can get is to train like an athlete, train with an athlete.
