Hello, my name is Stephanie Haynes at Diva Hair Designs in Duncanville, Texas, and I am going to demonstrate to you how to do a bun on African-American hair. Nowadays they make it easier because they have these pre-shaped buns that you can add to the hair and what you do is you take your hair and you put it in a ponytail as so and just slide the pre-shaped bun onto the hair and once you do that it's kind of secure it because you have to set a foundation with the ponytail holder. So it's there. Once you do that, you will take the hair and you will spread it around the bun. You will spread the hair in the middle and take the end of your rat tail comb and curve the hair tucking it underneath the bun, making sure that the pre-shaped bun that you put on there, is covered all the way up with her hair. The hair has to be at least shoulder length in order for all of the hair to cover the bun. So that is how it would look once all the hair is tucked around the bun. You will take open hair pins and secure the hair around the bun. Once again, my name is Stephanie Haynes at Diva Hair Designs in Duncanville, Texas, and I just demonstrated to you how to do a bun on African-American hair.
