Hi, I'm Brian Lipstein, President of Henry A. Davidsen, and we're here to talk about what kind of shirt to wear for a professional photo. When getting your professional photo done, you wanna always be in a button down shirt, generally with a tie and jacket on. That may not always be required. The first thing to note of is your skin tones. If you have very light colored skin tones, you may not be able to wear a white shirt. Most people can wear a white shirt, so just make sure that if you are a little washed out already, that you go to a beige or a blue. When taking a professional photo you wanna keep the shirt very light in color, and you wanna keep the suit jacket dark. This provides for high contrast and easy definition of each individual piece. So your most professional shirt is going to be a white button down, like you see here. Your next best shirt would be a light blue, like you see here. And what you really want to avoid is anything that has too much color or pattern on it, like you would see here. The more color, the more pattern you add to a shirt, the more casual it's going to become, and therefor, the more casual your photo would become. Your head-shot or your professional photo is always a good first impression tool, so we wanna make sure that we keep that the most professional it can be. Again, I'm Brian Lipstein, here at Henry Davidsen, teaching you how to wear the right dress shirt for your professional photo.
