Hello, my name's Adam Bates, and I'm with Insurance Services of America, and today I'm gonna talk about Mexican health insurance, and how much it costs. If you're traveling to Mexico, you wanna make sure that your health insurance covers you while in Mexico. If it doesn't then you wanna purchase health insurance that does. There are a couple different options. You can buy local Mexican insurance, which covers you just for the region or city that you'll be in. It runs about $100 per person per year. If you wanna be covered for all of Mexico, then you wanna purchase an individual policy that gives you coverage for all of Mexico. An added benefit is the insurance gives you the freedom to choose any doctor or hospital, and if you see a private doctor, your Mexican health insurance can provide additional expenses such as private hospital rooms, private doctors and of course, westernized medical facilities. An insurance policy that covers you just for the country of Mexico varies, and it depends on your age, as well as the level of coverage that you want, and the time that you're gonna be in Mexico. And that can vary anywhere from $100 up to a couple thousand dollars, if you're gonna be there for a longer period of time. You can also purchase insurance that covers you both in Mexico and in the U.S., and that gives you the freedom to choose, again, any doctor in Mexico, as well as medical evacuation, in case there's a medical emergency, and you don't wanna be treated in Mexico, insurance would fly you back here to the U.S. to be treated. And those policies are more expensive, they usually run anywhere from $150, again, up to $1,000, depending upon your age, and how long you're gonna be in Mexico, and the different benefits that you want. I would recommend contacting an insurance broker that can help you select a plan. Explain the benefits, and help you purchase a policy. My name is Adam Bates, and I'm with Insurance Services of America.
