Hello, my name is Adam Bates. I'm with Insurance Services of America, and today I'm going to talk about short term health insurance and how it can protect you and your loved ones. Short term medical insurance can be purchased online or by your local insurance broker. Short term medical insurance covers you for both sickness and accidents. It covers major medical expenses. It covers doctor's office visits as well as prescription medication. Short term medical insurance does not cover you for pre-existing medical conditions nor does it cover preventative care. If you've recently lost your job, graduated from collage or are waiting for your group health insurance plan, then short term medical insurance can provide temporary health insurance while you wait for a new policy to begin. You can find short term medical insurance online by searching for short term medical insurance, short term health insurance or temporary insurance. You'll find many insurance brokers. There's many short term medical insurance policies to choose from depending on your age, how long you need the insurance and the state you live in. You can also find short term medical insurance by locating a local insurance broker. You'll want to find one that specializes in health insurance. They can provide you multiple insurance quotes, help you complete the application form as well as collect your premium. If you apply online though, you can usually get your insurance to begin with in 24 hours but you'll need to use a credit card for payments. My name is Adam Bates and I'm with Insurance Services of America.
