Hi my name is Alex Cecilio. I'm a graphic artist and I'm going to show you how to make an EKG in Photoshop. So here I've pulled up what I've made already, just to give you an idea for what we're going to be making and it's actually pretty simple to make this so the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to open a new document. It doesn't really matter what the size is and I'm going to fill in my background black. And then I'm going to go over to the trash can and I'm going to add an extra layer. I'm going to click the button next to the trash can and then I'm going to actually go over to the pen tool which is right below the burning dodge tool. Now this can be a little tricky because EKGs are pretty, they're pretty straightforward, they're not really, like they do have different points of rising and falling but when they fall they don't really ever, it's just all, it's mostly on a grid. So what I'm actually going to do is I'm going to go to view then I'm going to go to show and I'm going to go to grid. And this is going to bring out my grid so that I can make my EKG right. So now what I'm going to do is I'm going to take my pen tool and grab a color and get to work. So your average EKG if you ever see a picture of an EKG that was illustrated usually has this particular pattern. It doesn't really matter all that much if you want to be specific to it, that's totally up to you. But, I'm going to go ahead and play around with that a little bit. The pen tool will allow you to kind of play around with your options of your bending the lines. Okay, so then what I'm going to do is once I've made my shape and my path I'm going to right click and I'm going to say stroke path, do not simulate pressure. Okay so actually what happened here was my paintbrush was too big so I'm going to select size four, standard circle, not a fuzzy circle because when I fill my path, when I stroke my path, it actually asks me what I want it to replicate so I ask it to make it look like it was put on there by the brush so that's why it made that giant line before. So now I'm going to delete my path, I'm going to move this and then I'm going to just hold down option and then just drag it like so. My name is Alex and this is how you make an EKG in Photoshop. Thank you.
